Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure where dead outer most skin (stratum Corneum) Is removed by light abrasion. The skin is bombarded by very fine particles of zinc or aluminium oxide. The particles and dead skin material is suctioned by the suction head. It is a non-invasive procedure to rejuvenate skin. Microdermabrasion is effective in treating sun-damaged skin, fine wrinkles, lightening scar marks and dark spots. It is not as effective as microlaser peel, chemical and laser peels. However microdermabrasion is cheaper and there is no down time required.
