Breast Augmentation

Breast Augmentation (Enlargement) is performed on women with underdeveloped breasts or who have experienced a decrease in breast size or distortion of shape due to pregnancy or weight loss. The breast augmentation is achieved by placing breast implants (saline or cohesive silicon gel implants)under or over the breast muscle. The implant can be placed under the breast through incision (a) under the breast, (b) around the areola, (c) in the armpit area and (d) in the belly button.

Dr. Padma Jain's most preferred method of breast augmentation is the placement of the implant through an incision in the armpit area. The most obvious benefit is hidden scar in the armpit, thus avoiding visible scar in the breast area. The scar hidden in the armpit is only about 3.00 cm. long

In some cases breast augmentation may be performed by autologous fat transplant (your own fat). However this procedure has limitation. Not all patients are possible candidate for breast augmentation by fat transplant technique.

Breast Lift (Mastopexy)is performed on women who have experienced sagging or drooping of the breasts due to breast feeding, gravity ageing and weight loss and to correct the natural assymetry of breasts. The breast lift may be achieved by breast augmentation (see above) or a surgical method. At your consultation Dr. Jain will assess and suggest the most appropriate procedure for your specific condition

Breast Reductionis performed on women who have oversized breasts. In some cases the breast reduction may be achieved by liposuction of the breast. The most common method of breast reduction is by surgical procedure. At your consultation Dr. Jain will assess and suggest the most appropriate procedure for your specific condition.

All procedures at Fairview Laser Clinic are performed under local anesthesia. The recovery period is about a week.
