Acne & Acne Scar Treatment

Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the Phil sebaceous duct, characterized by Macules, Papules and at time Nodules Cysts and scars. The primary lesion at the beginning stages of acne is the Comedone (whitehead or blackhead). Common wisdom sees acne as a plugged duct with oily skin, although the condition is far more complex. Acne Vulgaris (the most severe type of acne) in its worst form can cause acne scarring.

While treating acne, no single method of treatment is the best approach for all patients. A clinical skin care program must be individualized for acne treatment according to the type and severity of the condition.
